reading (design) island

A carpet that also becomes a seat and integrates the idea of a delimited area reserved for reading. The reading (design) island is quite similar to the comforting old armchair. The carpets that cover the foldable supporting structure of the seats are hand-made Kelim. Folded up, the product takes up little room and is easy to transport. It can be used in public areas to create a reading corner completed with a table element, a lamp and a screen, as suggested in the touring exhibition reading (design) islands, 10 designseats für 10 designbooks.reading (design) island

“Paperpool” for Papier Union

Paper selection tool and image promoter. The designers have given the white and blue Papier Union box the characteristic look of the computer media. This serves to emphasize the touch-and-feel component of the material within the communication mix. Users also find the box highly functional.

Riflesso
A carpet mirror

Embroidery penetrates the surface of a simple polycarbonate mirror, light and unbreakable, thus creating a transparent, modern tapestry that can be produced in different shapes and colours.

Riflesso is an object charged with symbolic values. This is achieved by applying a decor with elements of archaic textile patterns such as those found in Sardinian carpets. Awarded the First Special Mention in the international contest “Design and Mediterranean – Between present and future”.
