Corporate design for EVAN

EVAN is a pan-European network for design-oriented companies initiated by the European Union. ondesign was responsible for developing the logo and for several case studies in German companies (Wikhahn, Rational) on behalf of the agency SDI (Sistema Design Italia). The logo suggests the function of an aerial for EVAN: transmitting and receiving information and making it accessible to the public.

As part of a cultural sponsoring programme, ondesign developed this charming symbol free of charge for the oldest private theatre of its kind in Germany. With an intelligent appeal to the emotions, the symbol promises entertainment of a high standard for a discerning young target group. It is one of the projects for which ondesign was awarded
the Kultur Merkur of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg for the advancement of cultural institutions by means of our corporate design work.

Logo for the German base station of the international space station ISS. The idea of the strangeness of outer space is suggested by the unusual shape of the letters.

Logo for HGP Audioelektronik, a manufacturer of high-end loudspeaker cabinets. The bass clef from musical notation combined with the firm’s initials symbolizes the sound quality of the products. First prize in the BGD logo competition.

Corporate design for the Hamburg Exchange

The existing official seal from the 16th century was to retain its symbolic value. With this in mind, the task was to create a modern and comprehensible visual identity for Germany’s oldest exchange, founded in 1558. The interior architecture of the building becomes a quickly recognized symbol that also suggests the five individual exchange institutions in the five arches.

Chronicle of the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe

For the 25th anniversary of the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe ondesign produced a 300-page, linen-bound chronicle of the firm’s history for presentation to employees and business associates. The chronicle describes impressively how values like commitment and creativity have shaped the development of the enterprise ever since it was established.

“Art and Flour – a worldwide gallery of flour sacks”, corporate book of Mühlenchemie

The catalogue for the international collection of flour sacks, now grown to more than 1,600 exhibits, begins with a brief cultural history of flour. Paintings from Raffael to Picasso show flour and grain to have been a central topic through the centuries. Final chapters illuminate the global economic conditions of wheat production. The book functions successfully as a means of maintaining customer loyalty.

The bag as “transport packaging” for the book is made individually from original flour bags: in a version for men and a second version specially for women.

The quality and mouth feel of yoghurt and dips is the result of intelligent ingredients that create the right consistency. The complementary functions of ingredients are symbolized in the Hydrosol logo by the mirror image formed by the shapes h and y.

Redesign and positioning of the Italian home furnishing magazine GAP CASA in the context of a pan-European design competition won by ondesign. Ondesign developed the typographic concept, a new iconography and a series of new special topics; it also acts an an external supervisor for the production of future issues of the magazine.
