Exhibition and conference Venezia Hamburg Orientierung (Venice Hamburg orientation)
The basic idea of the conference and exhibition is evident at first glance. Urban orientation systems as a comparison between two major European cities with a waterfront. Research approaches and strategy proposals from four European universities were presented. The arrows with the typical appearance of barrier tapes indicate humorously that urban orientation is an important “construction site” for the future. Ondesign organized the exhibition and conference to focus attention on urban orientation systems. To do this, two cities with a waterfront were juxtaposed to show their needs. International speakers from the worlds of design and architecture opened up a lively discussion during the conference day.

reading (design) islands: 10 design seats for 10 design books
The reading (design) islands were developed to provide an opportunity for relaxation in the course of the Hamburg Design Festival. A connection was established between the subject of design and the development of seating facilities, and literature on the question of design was offered at the same time. The exhibition design and the prototypes (seats and the small table Kartolino) were developed by Francalma Nieddu and complemented with products from Caimi Brevetti. The touring exhibition was to be seen at Design Festival Hamburg 2006 and at Profile Intermedia 9 in Bremen, where ondesign curated “Design Made in Italy” as part of the conference.
